Mr. Luther Nelson has applied for the position of volunteer ambulance driver with the Ambulance Corps of the American Ambulance Hospital in Paris.
He has given your name as a reference, and we would appreciate it if you would give us information regarding Mr. Nelson’s character and his qualifications for the service.

The qualifications of a volunteer ambulance driver in our service are:
He must be a native born American citizen; son of native born Americans;
He must be of unquestioned reliability; sober, industrious and amenable to discipline;
He must be a competent automobile driver, and know how to make all ordinary repairs.
